  • Provide general seismic interpretation and geophysical advice to asset team.

  • Field Interpretation including Geobody and ‘connector’ mapping, providing inputs to update existing reservoir models. Work with geologist to refine mapping of shallow “Paso” gas anomaly and generate volumetric estimates.

  • Organise and control all process based activities relating to onshore/offshore service contracts for an assigned Technical Services portfolio (drilling, wells, geoscience and logistics) of including strategies, pre-qualifications, tender list development, issue of ITT/CFT, analysis of tenders, contract negotiations and the preparation of contractual documentation.

The Senior Drilling Cost Analyst provides estimating, budgeting, cost control and high-level planning support functions to the Company, ensuring that appropriate decisions are taken with full knowledge of budget and cost impact.  The value to the Company of this position is in the development and monitoring of budgets, analysis of actual spend, forecasting of future spend and the ability to challenge costs at every stage. These points are fundamental and essential in enabling the Company to accurately plan and budget for the future.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of drilling and wells budgets including departmental forecasts. Ensure data meets requirements and adheres to the relevant timetable and deadlines. Liaise between cost performance teams ensuring consistent workscopes and budget scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain reports in SAP to monitor expenditure against budgets, forecasts, commitments and AFEs. Conduct monthly cost control reviews and update as appropriate. Consolidate forecast information, produce and review monthly to agree the forecast.
  • Work closely with management in the evaluation of technical/commercial aspects of commitment proposals. Provide cost estimates from scopes for discussion/approval by management for inclusion into AFEs and budgets.

Key responsibilities:

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide department IT support including; management of MS365 services for the Wells Department via Sharepoint and Teams, support well engineers to optimise working practices via MS365 and in-house software platforms.  Support platform and Well Integrity Management system.
  • Proactively ensure critical documents are identified and archived as per document control procedure. Follow well operations ensuring associated well documents are controlled. Key responsibilities:

  • Subsurface mapping and the integration of seismic data with geological, well and production data to develop fit-for-purpose subsurface depth structure maps, structural interpretations and reservoir quality predictions to be provided as input for reservoir models.
  • Integration of relevant geophysical data leading to the identification and maturation of in and near field drilling targets and production improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain and update rock physics models for reservoirs and fluids in order to make predictions of hydrocarbon saturation / pore pressure and assist in reservoir history matching.
  • Responsible for leading the definition of requirements for geophysical data acquisition, site surveys and coordination of safe and effective acquisition operations.
  • Work closely with other specialists with a multi-discipline team approach to reservoir development and production optimisation.

Key requirements:

The manufacture and availability of high-quality equipment is a critical factor in the successful achievement of Drilling and Wells operational targets, particularly in relation to timescales and budgets which requires a robust inspection and assurance processes. The job holder will provide support to the QA/QC team leader to ensure that manufacturing, inspection, engineering services and contracts for Drilling and Wells activities are in place to support the achievement of these objectives and that these are managed efficiently and cost effectively and that productive and positive relationships with contractors and suppliers are developed and maintained.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively follow Drilling and Completion operations including recording, tracking and following up on operational & equipment failures.
  • Follow up with vendors and service providers on performance failure investigations and present investigation findings and ensure all investigations are closed out.
  • Production and analysis of QA and QC data for reporting and input to continuous improvement processes.
  • Oversee all inspection activities and assignments undertaken by the Company Inspection Service Provider.
  • Technical review and processing of all Inspection Reports.
  • Undertake the approval and competency process for Company Inspection Service Provider proposed Inspectors and Auditors.
  • Conduct audits and on-site verification as required to ensure compliance with inspection process.

  • Provide input into generation and implementation of Process Maps for key processes.

Key requirements:

  • Foundation training and qualifications in Quality Control and Inspection disciplines with between significant experience in an oilfield service or manufacturing environment.
  • Trained Internal Auditor with experience working within QHSE management, systems and processes environment.
  • Proficient knowledge of key inspection techniques and processes, the statutory and industry standard certification associated with Oil and Gas, drilling and wells equipment and services and the application of Quality Assurance, Oil and Gas Industry Regulations, National and International Codes and Standards, primary manufacturing processes.

  • Extensive experience as a development geoscientist with an E&P Operator working on operated field development projects and producing assets, with demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpretive geological skills including sedimentology, petrology, stratigraphy and well-correlation, structural geology and geological interpretation of well-logs with demonstrated expertise in integrated reservoir characterisations and volumetric analysis. Knowledge of and an ability to carry out classical seismic interpretation and an awareness of rock-physics interpretation.
  • Geological operations and development well planning experience, coupled with a good understanding of drilling and production operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of 3D geocellular model design and extensive experience of static model building, with detailed knowledge of current available software tools (e.g. Petrel) and ability to integrate geophysical attributes into static models. Understanding of dynamic reservoir simulation modelling and integration of static models into the simulation model realm.
  • Experience of reservoir uncertainty analysis for volumetric analysis and static uncertainty inputs into dynamic simulation models.
  • Experience in planning and executing value-adding geological evaluation and modelling work-programmes and studies and managing third-party contractors.
