Our Client, an Aberdeen based International E&P Operator has a requirement for an Asset Planner.

Contract Basis:  Agency PAYE

Contract Term:  1st September 2020 to 31st August 2021.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining the integrated longer term Asset plans.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and management of the 12 week to 5 year Asset Plan, with a key focus on the 2 year to 5 year plans.
  • Perform the monitoring, development, and maintenance of planning control structures in alignment with approved structures.
  • Work with the Maintenance Scheduler and the Site Integrator to integrate, optimise and maintain the longer term Asset Plan.
  • Own and maintain Asset Planning Procedure and Constraints Document that describes the constraints to scheduling activities.
  • Perform the monitoring and maintenance of baseline asset plans and schedules.
  • Host and co-ordinate the monthly and quarterly schedule review meetings.
  • Work with all relevant support functions and disciplines to build and maintain the Asset Plan.
  • Interface with Asset team regarding pre/post Shutdown activities and Shutdown specific critical activities.
  • Produce project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements, gathering accurate progress and performance status reports and update asset plans and produce reports in accordance with project reporting requirements.

Key requirements:

  • Educated to Higher level or equivalent.
  • Experienced Planner with a proven track record in Asset planning and / or Project planning positions.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of and familiarity with manual and computerised project planning and scheduling techniques.
  • Experienced in integrated asset planning in support of upstream oil and gas installations in the UKCS, including late-life assets.
  • Working knowledge of logistical support and constraints.
  • Detailed knowledge of Primavera planning software.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS programmes (Maximo, Maisy) would be desirable.
  • Valid BOSIET/FOET, MIST and Offshore Medical or willingness to obtain is preferable.

Senior Inspection Engineer (CNS)

This position within the maintenance and inspection department provides technical and engineering advice and support to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of all planned and unplanned inspection activities whilst acting as Focal Point for contractor representatives, equipment suppliers, verification authority and other industry technical contacts.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all inspection work is carried out in accordance with the approved procedures and performance standard requirements.
  • Define and continuously maintain the means of inspection assurance activities required to achieve and maintain the performance standards for safety critical equipment over the asset life cycle.
  • Provide input to annual discipline budget based on planned activities and historical emergent work and provide reviews of budget spending.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contractor/supplier performance, reduce costs and improve the quality of services/products supplied.
  • Provide technical input to contract tenders and negotiations relating to maintenance services. Contribute to SQM meetings and vendor/contractor audits.
  • Ensure that inspection activities are prioritized, planned, scheduled, and managed within the operations and maintenance plans.
  • Manage the onshore and offshore teams to deliver inspection plans safely and efficiently ensuring all inspection and NDT results are analysed, communicated, and managed.
  • Apply LEAN process to optimise maintenance in accordance with minimum maintenance guidelines.
  • Contribute to incident are investigations and complete incident actions as appropriate. Provide technical input to RCA process and ownership of actions that prevent recurrence.

Key requirements:

  • Suitable qualifications in Engineering/Inspection Discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Inspection in the oil & gas industry, including offshore and site experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to discipline.
  • Significant knowledge of offshore and terminal plant and associated process, equipment, and technologies.

  • Maintain link with relevant specialists to allow adoption of best practices and maximise standardisation of maintenance optimisations. Ensuring that digitalisation and automation of solutions is core to any solution implemented.
  • Participate to criticality reviews, SECE updates, RCM studies or equivalent to ensure that Maintenance requirements are properly addressed.

Key requirements:

Drilling Operations Lead

Our Client, an International E&P Operator has an immediate requirement for a Drilling Operations Lead.

Permanent Staff role.

The successful candidate will assist the Well Engineering Manager in the management of operated and non-operated well operation activities within the BU, to ensure compliance with the well engineering management system, HSE risk management standard, wells personnel competency, government regulations and local industry guidelines and best practices with due regards for health, safety and the environment. Provide cover as Wells Technical Authority (TA) and emergency well control response as required.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical support and influencing both operated and non-operated drilling operations and projects. Specifically: monitor operations, ensure safety incidents are investigated / closed-out and shared across asset / functional teams; Ensure all NCRs are satisfactorily closed out; Provide a weekly summary of operation (including non-ops) to the relevant Management Teams; Chair, lead and issue minutes for the bi-monthly Drilling Scheduling meeting; Perform offshore/harbour rig/vessel assurance visits as required.
  • Responsible for reviewing and technically assuring/signing-off of drilling operational documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring well activity compliance with Government Regulations and Standards.
  • Assist Well Engineering Manager to review and technically assure / sign-off on all wells / drilling related cost estimates.
  • Responsible for managing the Well Delivery Process and ensuring correct gates and assurance levels are applied and executed in a suitable time frame to meet project delivery dates.
  • Responsible for Wells contract management
  • Assist the Well Engineering Manager in maintaining the drilling / well engineering team at the appropriate strength.
  • Cover as delegate for Well Engineering Manager in the role of Wells Technical Authority (TA) for the well design, construction and abandonment phase. Liaise with the Completions and Well Integrity Team Lead to ensure seamless transition between the construction and operational phase; and assist in the compliance with their Technical Authority (TA) duties. Liaise with asset teams and assist in resolving any potential conflict with the Well Examiner. To include well control issues and operations.
  • Provide cover, including accountability, for the Well Engineering Manager role; Also, to assist in covering for the Completions and Well Integrity Team Lead as required.
  • Collate and provide updates on an annual basis to the Well Engineering Management Standard (WEMS), perform gap analysis to ensure compliance between this document and relevant BU well engineering processes and procedures, update these documents as required.
  • Update and generate UKBU Well Engineering processes, procedures and guidelines.

Key requirements:

  • Relevant degree preferred, but appropriate training & development with a known operator acceptable
  • IWCF Level 4 Drilling Well Control (Combined) Certificate.
  • Medical and relevant offshore certification to allow offshore travel UK North Sea.
  • Extensive industry experience in drilling and well operations; to include wells team lead / drilling superintendent and day drilling supervisor experience. Operator experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in Technical Authority role but not essential.
  • Proven track record of operational design, planning and executional delivery for exploration, appraisal and development wells.
  • Proven experience with completions, workovers and well intervention well work.
  • Proven knowledge and track record for HS&E delivery.
  • Technically competent and knowledgeable / experienced on drilling equipment, all rig types and well control situations and associated well kill equipment.
  • Experience of taking on new rigs, commissioning / upgrades, and taking rigs and new crews out from harbour.

  • Review observation data and incident reporting highlighting trends and remedy actions.
  • Support the Safety Coaches in the provision of support to all offshore operations.
  • Advocate compliance with regulatory health and safety requirements demonstrating robust leadership in all health and safety related campaigns and programs where identified.
  • Train, coach and mentor the Safety Coaches on identifying and addressing health and safety risks and providing guidance on mitigation measures.
  • Monitor and support continuous improvement of internal processes for the management of human reliability in safety critical tasks, including new equipment design, equipment failure risk assessments and safety critical procedures.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations where appropriate. Review all investigations providing assurance of consistency regarding behavioural aspects and quality.

Key requirements:

  • Relevant degree, degree equivalent or appropriate experience
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, influencing and presentation skills
  • Experience in an equivalent role in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience in Implementation/Management of a Corporate Safety Culture program
  • Specialised job knowledge in Human Factors
  • Good working knowledge of UK & European HES legislation

Our Client, an independent oil and gas company has an immediate requirement for a Contracts Analyst.

Contract basis – PAYE, initially for one year, based in the Aberdeen Office. Reporting to the Contracts Supervisor.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the procurement of services, equipment and projects, whilst working with a wide range of personnel with diverse views and delivering an outcome which meets all parties’ requirements.
  • To comply with all corporate, industry, and legal requirements and be subject to audit (internal and external). To understand all such requirements and work with the various parties involved to satisfy their requirements.
  • Negotiate and conclude Contracts with Contractors which are comprehensive and include all technical and commercial requirements and provide adequate protection to the Company in the risks inherent in the scope.
  • Have the foresight to consider and anticipate risks and opportunities during the lifetime of a Contract and build such into the Contract as a provision for the future. Risks are varied and changing so innovative solutions are necessary.
  • Management of Contracts, by minimising exposure to cost and schedule threats and resolution of conflict with Contractors and internal parties.

 

Key requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Law, Commercial, Management, Supply Chain, QS (Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Law or Commercial)
  • Experience with an Oil and Gas Operator and/ or Contractor in a Contracts role is essential
  • Collaborative self starter, organised with good attention to detail, good communication skills, good commercial and contractual knowledge, team-player.
