Our Client, an Aberdeen based International E&P Operator has an immediate requirement for an KPI & Performance Analyst.

Contract Basis – PAYE

Initial Contract Duration – ASAP to 30/11/2021 (core position).

This position will assist in establishing and proactive monitoring of the KPI’s, performance metrics and level of service for the Asset, providing a preliminary analysis and initial sense check on all the data collated.  Assisting in preparation and progress reporting both internally and externally as required, discussing across the Assets possible improvements to increase Asset performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the Power BI ‘Contributor User’ within the Performance & Growth team, managing and creating automated reports to help the asset understand its performance.  This includes:

  • Build and publish Power BI reports to the online service and share with relevant users.
  • Analyse, interpret, and act upon Power BI data for the benefit of the asset.
  • Act as key interface with central Data Analytics team to improve the data quality and reports.
  • Provide service to other Asset Departments, designing and building bespoke reports.
  • Work with the Data Analytics team to validate and automate new Asset reports.

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Seek solutions to asset problems and challenges, using LEAN and other CI tools & techniques.
  • Focus on simplification and improvement of processes, always using the 7-step CI process.
  • Proactively seek and propose improvement ideas and initiatives, and facilitate and support projects run by others.

 

Audit Coordination

  • Lead or support Lead Auditors in external or internal Audits.
  • Prepare Audit reports and follow up resulting actions.
  • Input into Audit model ensuring compliance with data quality governance.
  • Monitor, track and escalate Asset Audit actions, recommendations, and findings through to completion.

 

KPI Data Coordination & Analysis

  • Focal point for the collation, preliminary analysis and reporting of the Asset KPI’s.
  • Establish and maintain a suitable reporting mechanism / tool for inputs from other entities, analysing and formatting this information.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis and investigation of any deviations or improvement in the Performance Indicators, highlighting and recording where appropriate any corrective actions.
  • Monitor and ensure visibility of the level of service between the Corporate, Shared Services and the Asset, including benchmarking and follow up of performance corrective actions.
  • Preparation and reporting for the Asset LEAN & 3C process reviews, discussing with the process owners the progress against the plan and improvements realised.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of the oil & gas industry.
  • Lead Auditor Qualification in ISO 9001.
  • Experienced PowerBI contributor.
  • General understanding of the technical operations of an Asset Operator within the oil and gas industry.
  • A self-motivated, with analytical and effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate and influence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate technical support to site operations for process upsets and front-line trouble shooting.
  • Analyse and resolve short term production and process issues.
  • Provide process and operational assistance in the preparation, organisation, and analysis of site-based trials.
  • Propose and justify modifications to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, production, environmental and cost performance.
  • Optimisation of start-up, shutdown, and intervention programmes to minimise production shortfalls.
  • Analyze CGA equipment performance data to optimize the plant operating conditions
  • Carry out daily routine monitoring checks on production critical equipment and wells and propose changes to optimise the plant and wells to maintain safe and efficient production.
  • Participate in process studies for plant modifications related to process discipline or multi-discipline.
  • Provide operational and process engineering input to HAZOPs, HAZIDs, Risk Assessments, SIL assessments and other technical safety assessments and audits.
  • Provide operational and process engineering assistance to Shutdown Team.

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering or equivalent.
  • Significant engineering experience in oil and gas process, production, or refining.
  • Working knowledge of onshore and offshore process and production systems, flow assurance issues and industry norms and specifications.
  • Current offshore certification.

Reservoir Engineer

Our Client, an independent E&P Operator has an immediate staff requirement for a Reservoir Engineer based in Aberdeen.

The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for providing reservoir engineering interpretation, guidance, and support to the Asset Teams. This includes being responsible for production profiles and reserves estimates utilised in the economic and financial models, as well as supporting technical and commercial evaluation of Business Development opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and evaluation of asset production performance and any operational activity, with the objective of recommending operations, activities and studies aimed at maximising production and ultimate recovery of hydrocarbons.
  • Where appropriate, utilise dynamic simulation and classical reservoir engineering techniques such as material balance and decline curve analysis to evaluate reservoir performance and potential opportunities.
  • Contribute to annual budget preparation including preparation of production forecasts for internal use.
  • Develop and maintain asset reserves and resources portfolio in accordance with PRMS principles.
  • Participate in peer assists and reviews for capital projects and prepare technical justification for presentation to management to secure approvals to support investment decisions.
  • Participate in technical and commercial evaluation of Business Development opportunities, providing the Company view of production profiles and volumes for economic assessment, and developing recommendations for management review.

Key requirements:

  • Professionally qualified to Bachelors degree level in Petroleum Engineering or similar discipline, although a Masters degree is preferred
  • Experienced in integrated asset modelling / reservoir simulation (Eclipse), material balance (MBAL), nodal analysis, PVT analysis, OFM and familiar with geocellular modelling principles.
  • Working knowledge of UK Oil and Gas regulatory regime, with respect to preparation of Field Development Plans, Licence extensions and Cessation of Production applications.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across Joint Ventures to influence asset plans.
  • Experienced in reservoir management of offshore black oil and gas condensate fields, including development of drilling and wellwork opportunities.
  • Experienced in time bound evaluation of business development opportunities
  • Ability to characterise and succinctly articulate subsurface uncertainties and recommendations to other relevant disciplines and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Contract Basis:  Agency PAYE

Contract Term:  ASAP for 6 months

Additional Information: Occasional offshore visits

Successful candidate will be working on the transfer of data to ePTW (Permit Vision V8) system providing standardisation across the UK sites.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all required PTW data is accurately transferred into Permit Vision V8
  • Provide onshore support for sites in the use of the Permit Vision V8 system, log queries and pass to relevant parties.
  • Aid in roll-out of Permit Vision V8 to operational sites.
  • Highlight any safety or production concerns to relevant parties to ensure effective follow up and resolution.
  • Manage and assist project Technical Assistant carrying out the tasks including performing User Acceptance testing on Permit Vision V8. Prepare site master data (SAP and LO/LC data) for upload, register users, create templates for new system, produce procedures and user guides to support rollout.
  • Assist HSE Dept with other tasks as required during Covid 19 pandemic.
  • Be conversant and comply with UK Legislation, Company Rules and Procedures and Instructions relevant to Control Of Work and E-Permit Systems.

Key requirements:

  • Recognised training (HNC, OPITO, SETT’s) in fluid and gas mechanics or oil and gas industry related discipline should be complemented with extensive relevant experience in oil and gas industry/offshore operations.
  • Good knowledge of Electronic Permit To Work Systems and Control Of Work Procedures and standards.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with personnel at all levels. Have leadership skills to direct, co-ordinate and organise work of technical assistant.
  • Good logical problem-solving skills. Ability to use sound rational judgement in decision making.
  • Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate safe working practices. Knowledge of Permit to Work System.

Key requirements:

  • Experience with oil and gas operations, both topsides and subsea including associated equipment classes and corresponding risks from a technical and practical stand-point.
  • Experience with operational maintenance and integrity management, delivery and optimisation. Sound appreciation of general maintenance and integrity, inspection and repair activities and techniques. Familiar with project/developments/operations and typical oil company processes.

Drilling Operations Lead

Our Client, an International E&P Operator has an immediate requirement for a Drilling Operations Lead.

Permanent Staff role.

The successful candidate will assist the Well Engineering Manager in the management of operated and non-operated well operation activities within the BU, to ensure compliance with the well engineering management system, HSE risk management standard, wells personnel competency, government regulations and local industry guidelines and best practices with due regards for health, safety and the environment. Provide cover as Wells Technical Authority (TA) and emergency well control response as required.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical support and influencing both operated and non-operated drilling operations and projects. Specifically: monitor operations, ensure safety incidents are investigated / closed-out and shared across asset / functional teams; Ensure all NCRs are satisfactorily closed out; Provide a weekly summary of operation (including non-ops) to the relevant Management Teams; Chair, lead and issue minutes for the bi-monthly Drilling Scheduling meeting; Perform offshore/harbour rig/vessel assurance visits as required.
  • Responsible for reviewing and technically assuring/signing-off of drilling operational documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring well activity compliance with Government Regulations and Standards.
  • Assist Well Engineering Manager to review and technically assure / sign-off on all wells / drilling related cost estimates.
  • Responsible for managing the Well Delivery Process and ensuring correct gates and assurance levels are applied and executed in a suitable time frame to meet project delivery dates.
  • Responsible for Wells contract management
  • Assist the Well Engineering Manager in maintaining the drilling / well engineering team at the appropriate strength.
  • Cover as delegate for Well Engineering Manager in the role of Wells Technical Authority (TA) for the well design, construction and abandonment phase. Liaise with the Completions and Well Integrity Team Lead to ensure seamless transition between the construction and operational phase; and assist in the compliance with their Technical Authority (TA) duties. Liaise with asset teams and assist in resolving any potential conflict with the Well Examiner. To include well control issues and operations.
  • Provide cover, including accountability, for the Well Engineering Manager role; Also, to assist in covering for the Completions and Well Integrity Team Lead as required.
  • Collate and provide updates on an annual basis to the Well Engineering Management Standard (WEMS), perform gap analysis to ensure compliance between this document and relevant BU well engineering processes and procedures, update these documents as required.
  • Update and generate UKBU Well Engineering processes, procedures and guidelines.

Key requirements:

  • Relevant degree preferred, but appropriate training & development with a known operator acceptable
  • IWCF Level 4 Drilling Well Control (Combined) Certificate.
  • Medical and relevant offshore certification to allow offshore travel UK North Sea.
  • Extensive industry experience in drilling and well operations; to include wells team lead / drilling superintendent and day drilling supervisor experience. Operator experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in Technical Authority role but not essential.
  • Proven track record of operational design, planning and executional delivery for exploration, appraisal and development wells.
  • Proven experience with completions, workovers and well intervention well work.
  • Proven knowledge and track record for HS&E delivery.
  • Technically competent and knowledgeable / experienced on drilling equipment, all rig types and well control situations and associated well kill equipment.
  • Experience of taking on new rigs, commissioning / upgrades, and taking rigs and new crews out from harbour.
  • Ideally experienced with managing / operating with semi-submersible, jack up, LWIVs and fixed platform operations in the UK North Sea.
