Our Client, an Aberdeen based International E&P Operator has a requirement for a Subsea Offshore Supervisor.

Contract basis – Ideally Ltd. Co. or Agency PAYE.

Contract term – January to October 2020.

Rotation – 3/3.

Predominantly an offshore position although onshore work can be expected during project planning and equipment preparation stages. The Offshore Supervisor is the primary focal point for all subsea related matters and is responsible for oversight and planning of offshore installation of subsea.

 

 Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high standard for safety, quality and performance.
  • Review and consult on all relevant Management of Change.
  • Serve as a Technical Specialist for subsea completion equipment.
  • Integrate and support other subsea team members and vendors during equipment site integration testing, site receipt testing, pre-deployment testing and offshore installations.
  • Responsible for offshore subsea XMT and completion installation and interventions activities from both vessels and rigs.
  • Manage a team of subsea offshore personnel during the planning and execution of subsea well Activities.
  • Participating in well planning and pre-operation meetings to ensure past learning’s are captured and incorporated into well programs and operational steps.
  • Interface closely with vendors / suppliers in preparation of MEL’s to ensure equipment is available for installation.
  • Ensure all rig upgrade requirements are addressed to handle subsea and completion equipment.

Key requirements:

  • Significant UKCS industry experience in subsea well construction  preferably with an Operator in an engineering position with supervisory experience.
  • Experience of developing and implementation of procedures and work instructions
  • Highly experienced with subsea vertical XMT system, completion landing strings, EDP / LRPs, light weight intervention systems and intervention workover control systems.
  • Familiar with subsea drilling equipment and rig interfaces, remotely operated vehicle, tooling interfaces and operations.
  • Capable of working and performing in fast paced dual derrick rig operation managing offline activity as well as critical path activity.
  • Engineering Degree or HND.
  • Valid UK offshore medical, BOSIET and MIST.
  • IWCF Well Control Certificate.

Our Client, an Aberdeen based International E&P Operator has a requirement for Night Drilling Supervisors x2.

Contract basis – Ltd. Co., Agency PAYE or Staff position considered for right candidate.

Contract terms – Position #1, long term contract. Position #2, initial contract duration 6 months.  Both positions will commence mid/late March 2020.

The successful candidate will lead a designated drilling operation offshore to deliver the HSSE, business and operational objectives in full compliance with company policy, relevant standards and legislation.  Will work collaboratively with the Drilling Superintendent to deliver the well objectives within budget, on schedule and without incident.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and consistently apply the highest level of leadership in HSSE standards, practices and policies, actively participating in onsite HSSE programmes.
  • Manage onsite operations safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report daily operations including associated costs, variances and performance against the well programme objectives and third-party contracts.
  • Ensure site team members have a clear understanding of operational objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Having a strong commitment to HSSE, plan and execute the design and examination for constructing wells in full compliance with regulatory requirements and Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure drilling programmes, programme amendments and dispensations to policy are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed.
  • Prepare cost estimates and monitor cost control for wells activities.
  • Monitor all phases of the well construction operations.
  • Implement best practices as identified in operational and engineering studies.
  • Provide engineering support for drilling operations.
  • Ensure appropriate assurance and review of the drilling design and work plan.
  • Coach and mentor Drilling Engineers to ensure appropriate technical development.
  • Ensure adequate third-party Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Key requirements:

  • Worked within the UKCS previously in an engineering position.
  • Sound understanding of drilling engineering fundamentals, including casing design, directional planning, drill string hydraulics, cementing and well control.
  • Experience of working with a variety of offshore drilling installations.
  • Knowledge of the safety, environmental and operations aspects in a Client / Operator environment.

Senior Wellhead and XT Operational Engineer

Our Client, an Aberdeen based International E&P company has a requirement for a Senior Wellhead and XT Operational Engineer to start January / February 2020.

Initial contract duration will be 10 months.

Contract basis – Due to the upcoming IR35 changes in April 2020, this position has been deemed to be outside IR35 and both Ltd. Co or Agency PAYE will be considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the onshore planning and offshore supervision during the installation of the Horizontal XT’s. Support the onshore planning and offshore supervision during the installation of subsea well equipment. Shall be conversant with both new build and legacy systems from to install and operate their equipment.

 

Scope of service:

  • Responsible for the installation of the Horizontal XT from the drilling rig and the installation of the DrilQuip wellhead equipment, Claxton high pressure riser, DQ vertical XT and dual-bore riser from a jack-up drilling rig. Responsible for the test phases of the well including;  interfaces with the Drilling Contractor, LP / HP housing preparation and installation, horizontal and vertical XT preparation and installation, running / retrieval of the subsea test tree (emergency disconnect package) and high pressure riser and dual bore riser.
  • Ensure compliance with Client Management System, HSE Management System, Well Delivery Process and all permits, consents and regulatory notifications.
  • Co-ordinate all subcontractors to ensure objectives and interfaces align with excellent communication between all parties to ensure operations are performed safely and efficiently.
  • Continuously monitor performance including; HSE, operations and logistics whilst capturing lessons learned and continuous improvement. Providing QA for all operations in relation to well objectives and technical KPIs.
  • Ensure all activities are planned and executed with HS&E at the forefront.
  • Provide technical discipline expertise to support the Asset with the operational aspects of Wellhead and Xmas Tree Systems.
  • Participate in the compiling end of well reports.

Service requirements:

  • Engineering Degree preferred but substantial experience with a known XT supplier and experience with a North Sea Operators is also acceptable.
  • Previous North Sea experience with all types of drilling rigs (semi and running of Horizontal XTs preferred) jack-up and running of vertical XTs and a variety of operations.
  • Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET).
  • Valid medial certification and all others training / certification to travel offshore and supervise operations at the wellsite.

Our Client, an International E&P Operator has an immediate requirement for a Night Drilling Supervisor based offshore Malaysia.

Contract basis – Ltd. Co.

Rotation – 28/28.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operations are conducted in line with the Company drilling programme and well engineering minimum standards.  Acting as the leadership team representative on board a jack-up drilling rig, the primary task will be to oversee the drilling operations. A proven track record of safe and efficient project delivery is a must.

 

Scope of service:

  • Plan, order and schedule necessary equipment and service personnel, liaising with Senior Drilling Supervisor on all material requirements.
  • Actively supervise operations and ensure seamless progression of operations.
  • Follow drilling programme, ensuring any deviation from programme or standards correctly follows the Management of Change Process.
  • Coordinate with drilling contractors OIM and Tool pushers and all service personnel to maximise the efficiency of the daily operations.
  • Provide HSE leadership in the planning and execution of drilling and completion operations, participating in HSE incident reporting and investigation activities.
  • Recommend equipment and procedural changes to increase efficiency of the overall operations.
  • Ensure all government regulations, Company environmental policies, rules and regulations are carried out.

Service requirements:

  • As a minimum a diploma and / or some College education. A degree in appropriate discipline considered a major advantage.
  • Should have considerable oilfield experience including time at Assistant Drilling Supervisor level on offshore rigs.
  • Have strong HSE and leadership behaviours and must have experience working with an Operator.
  • Must be in possession of valid IWCF level 4, BOSIET and offshore medical certificates.
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English.
  • Computer literate in packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and typical drilling software reporting packages.
  • Candidate should have experience in; jack-up over platform operations, development wells drilling with completion operations, high angle or horizontal wells, drilling through depleted zones, SIMOPS (interfacing between platforms and jack-up drilling rigs).
  • Knowledge of Spiltter wellhead designs, dual completions and well abandonments would be beneficial.

Role will operate in the North Sea on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate will complete planned routine maintenance, fault diagnostics and corrective maintenance of all instrumentation. Carrying our effective maintenance of instrumentation whilst meeting safety and business targets to allow delivery of increased uptime and reliability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance.
  • Actively contributes to a culture of continuous HSSE performance improvement, maintaining a constant awareness of potential hazards and the measures implemented to mitigate the risk.
  • Contribute towards optimisation of maintenance and minimise equipment downtime by critically assessing maintenance practices thereby reducing costs and/or increasing revenues.

Occasional travel offshore.

Provide petroleum engineering and production engineering support and guidance to operated assets and FPSO. Responsible for optimising production and injection performance and resolving relevant operational issues. Provide petroleum engineering expertise and guidance to other UK asset teams as required.

 

Scope of service:

  • Responsible for production and petroleum engineering activities. Optimise production and injection wells via surveillance techniques, well modelling and field implementation. Work with operations to continuously optimise production wells in response to operational issues. Work with Reservoir Engineers to define and implement reservoir management plans.
  • Provide oversight of well allocation processes. Provide timely production forecasts, production loss management and production efficiency tracking.
  • Develop plans and proposals for well interventions and or process enhancements. Update and document opportunity lists and ensure these are fed into the respective asset opportunity hopper. Prepare and lead annual well reviews for each asset.
  • Provide petroleum engineering support for any future well intervention operations. Be prepared to travel offshore to the wellsite should petroleum engineering supervision be required
  • Provide petroleum engineering support for any new field development or infill well drilling opportunities. Act as petroleum engineering focal point for completion and well test design. Provide advice and vendor supervision of artificial lift design, for gas lift and ESP completions.
  • Provide peer assist support and hands-on technical support to other asset teams as required. Mentor and develop less experienced PEs and others.

Service requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related discipline, preferably a post-graduate qualification in petroleum engineering or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience as a petroleum engineer with an E&P Operator working on a broad range of operated field development and production projects.
  • Track record of proactively proposing and implementing successful production optimisation opportunities and well intervention work.

  • Evaluation and interpretation of geological and well data and integration with seismic and reservoir engineering data and interpretations.
