Senior Well Examiner
Aberdeen, UK

Our client, an established Aberdeen operator, is seeking an experienced Well Examiner to ensure compliance in the design, construction and maintenance of wells as defined by UK legislation.

This role is independent to the Engineering and Operations functions and will utilise the company’s management system and the E&P referential Drilling & Wells Company Rule in the execution of his/her duties. The Well Examiner will also refer to and communicate industry best practice where applicable, as well as utilise his/her competence and personal experience in well examination matters.

Specific requirements for this role:

Demonstrable experience as a well examiner with an offshore oil and gas operator.

Degree qualified (in an engineering or technical discipline) and have appropriate experience in drilling or completions engineering and well operations, including a period spent offshore and a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position.

Able to meet the minimum standard as outlined in Oil and Gas UK Guidelines on the Competency of Well examiners 2017.

Valid International Well Control Forum (IWCF) certificate at level 4 supervisor including subsea installations.

Well Examiners will undergo a competence assessment.

Fluids Supervisor

Our client, an oil and gas operator, is seeking an experienced Fluids Supervisor to work offshore 3/3 rotation on board a semi-submersible rig in the UK North Sea.

Key Activities:

  • Optimise and the application of fluids, cement, and waste management services in the field.
  • Coordinate actions between the different parties involved in order to ensure that the best procedures are followed.
  • Follow up the daily consumption of the chemical approved and issue the required report at the end of each well.
  • Review laboratory analyses, control logistics and inventory management
  • Ensure that Fluids and Cement programs and procedures are available, understood and adhered to by personnel involved.

Job Holder Requirements:

  • Possess current UK Offshore Survival Certificate and current UK offshore medical certificate, MIST, Fire fighting
  • Must have Drilling Well Control Programme (IWCF Certification), Combined Surface and Subsea BOP Stack Level 4
  • Should be educated to graduate level or similar level with engineering training and demonstrate high level of technical knowledge in the fluids area with appropriate experience in offshore drilling operations

Lead Contract Specialist

Our client, an oil and gas operator is seeking an experienced Contracts professional.  The job holder will proactively work to optimise the performance of the key contracts within the asset and improve the commercial position for the Asset and the Company whilst ensuring compliance to the contract; this includes reviewing the quality of delivery and optimising the Company’s commercial position.

Key Activities:

  • Monitor, manage and report on the performance of contracts of strategic importance to the asset, whilst seeking performance improvements, efficiencies and cost optimisation.
  • Embedding a culture of continuous improvement with responsibility for ensuring the sharing of lessons learned and best practice
  • Oversee all Asset Contracts and Procurement activities, ensuring compliance with Company policies, procedures and legislation, whilst optimising Asset performance and profitability.

The job holder must have:

  • Educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate significant ability through relevant discipline experience.
  • Significant knowledge of North Sea oil and gas industry – drilling, construction and production.

Lead Methods Engineer

Our client, an oil and gas operator is seeking an experienced Lead Methods Engineer within the maintenance and inspection department of the asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and optimisation of the data within the SAP system
  • Produce quality reports and ensure progress reports are auditable for Asset Integrity/Management, plus, ensure any new equipment is processed as according to operation requirements.
  • Identify lagging indicators where maintenance has not been completed. Analyse trends and collaborate with discipline engineers/site to agree action plans.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, utilize reporting tools, provide reports and participate in Asset Integrity and Head Office Audit processes.

The job holder must have:

  • Degree in relevant Engineering/Technical Discipline or extensive experience in plant maintenance
  • 6-10 years CMMS experience within the oil and gas industry (offshore and onsite)
  • Significant knowledge of offshore, terminal plant/equipment and maintenance systems
  • High proficiency in the use of MS packages and SAP Plant Maintenance Module

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our client, an oil and gas operator is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for their maintenance and inspection department for a specific asset to provide technical/engineering advice and support in relation to maintenance activities.  Act as the Contract representative for Maintenance support contracts as required and provide support as stand in for asset site based Discipline PA i.e. MechPA, E&I PA.

Previous experience of managing budgets, cost control process, tenders and negotiations, develop positive relationships, development of strategies, prepare and review scopes of work.  Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and effective manner in line with the Company standards.

Group Engineering Manager

Our client, an operator based in London has a requirement for a Group Engineering Manager to join their Operations and Technical Functional team.

Core Responsibilities:
• Responsible for engineering and project functional performance
• Accountable for the functional assurance of the engineering and project deliverables for select, define and execute phases of the company’s global developments

Logistics and Infrastructure Manager

Our client is currently seeking a Logistics and Infrastructure Manager, based in their London office to support an overseas business unit and will be required to proactively manage the logistics and infrastructure projects from planning through to operation. The role will encompass all elements from well construction through to steady state production with some infrastructure construction requirements.

Accountable for logistics in support of the well construction, subsea and FPSO installation/ production. These include:

  • Management of aviation and marine services from tender through to execute, Hangar, Dock facilities, Well construction and production yards including warehousing, COMAH site (TCP and methanol storage sites), Mud plant, Transit accommodation and Waste management.
  • Liaise with technical teams, Wells, Operations, Subsea to ensure that logistics and infrastructure requirements are mapped and delivered in time.
  • Accountable for tracking of infrastructure planning permissions.
  • Facilitate communications and information to ensure timely approvals met.
  • Maintain and develop up to date cost estimates and management of estimates through the organisation.

The job holder must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
    Demonstrable experience managing remote logistics requirements including, fixed wing services, helicopter services, OSVs, transport vessels.
  • Strong commercial and contracting background including aviation, marine and infrastructure projects.
  • Has monitored and reported contractor progress in developing infrastructure. Working knowledge of construction processes with 15+ years’ experience in oil related projects.
  • Demonstrable project management skills with previous experience managing operations in a remote environment.
  • Proactive self-starter who can motivate and organise a small team.
    Technical planning, presentation skills and good communication skills (written and verbal).

Reservoir Engineer

Our client an operator based in Aberdeen currently seeks an experienced Reservoir Engineer. Reporting to the Subsurface Manager, the job holder will be responsible for the long-term management, development and optimisation of the fields and associated satellites to maximise production and optimise the economic recovery.

Key Duties Include:
* Build and maintain appropriate reservoir models incorporating geoscience interpretations of static reservoir properties
* Evaluate the incremental production and reserves for each opportunity
* Describe the key risks and quantify the uncertainties
* Maintain a ranked inventory of development opportunities for the field
* Identify and develop study and monitoring programmes to improve understanding and reduce the uncertainty and risks associated with the development options.
* In conjunction with other function groups prepare a business case describing the opportunity, detailing the benefits, costs and risks
* Manage reservoir engineering studies carried out by 3rd party contractors and vendors
* Work with the other members of the larger group to identify infill drilling opportunities
* Maintain auditable booked reserves estimates and reserves reports
